ACR Prefers Sherwin Williams or Dunn Edwards Paints
If we're painting your spaces, we want to ensure we're using the best quality paints. We'll bring paint with us to our job, but your job will be to choose your favorite colors or to match the existing paint colors your home currently has.
During the planning of your bathroom and flooring remodel, you may consider making bigger changes in the color palette of your home. Paint colors can transform a space, setting the tone and atmosphere for your home. We're here to help you choose the perfect paint colors for your remodel.
Before picking a paint color, consider the mood you want to achieve in each room. Soft, muted colors like pastels and neutrals can create a calming and serene environment, ideal for bedrooms and bathrooms. Bold, vibrant colors, on the other hand, can energize a space, making them perfect for living rooms or creative areas.
Look at your current furniture, flooring, and other decor elements for inspiration. Your paint color should complement these existing features. If you have a statement piece, such as a colorful rug or artwork, choose a paint color that enhances or contrasts with these elements to create a cohesive look.
Once you have a few colors in mind, test them in your space. Paint samples on the walls and observe them at different times of the day. Lighting can dramatically affect how a color looks, so it’s crucial to see how it interacts with natural and artificial light before making a final decision.
The function of each room can influence your color choice. For high-traffic areas like hallways and kitchens, durable, easy-to-clean paints in neutral or subtle tones can be practical. In contrast, rooms intended for relaxation or socializing, such as living rooms and dining rooms, can benefit from richer, more dynamic colors.
For a harmonious look throughout your home, consider how colors will flow from one room to another. Using a consistent color palette or complementary shades can create a cohesive feel. If you prefer different colors for each room, ensure they transition smoothly by choosing hues that complement each other.
The color wheel is a valuable tool for selecting colors that work well together. Complementary colors (opposite each other on the wheel) can create a striking contrast, while analogous colors (next to each other) offer a more harmonious look.
While it’s tempting to choose colors based on current trends, remember that trends can change. Opt for colors that reflect your personal style and preferences rather than following fads. This ensures that your space remains timeless and enjoyable for years to come.
Choosing the right paint colors for your remodel project can elevate your space and bring your vision to life. By considering the mood, existing decor, and functionality of each room, you’ll create a cohesive and inviting environment that reflects your personal style.

Andrea
We used ACR to remodel our master bath, the guest bath, replacement of our tile floors using luxury vinyl planking, and to replace all the baseboards and door casings throughout the entire house. Fred completed the pre-project meeting and went over every item on the proposals. He verified that everything was in order to allow our project to get a start date. Keith, the project manager, was very easy to work with and came by everyday to answer any questions and address any concerns we had. All the work was done in a timely manner and the craftsmanship was top notch. We would recommend ACR to anyone considering a bathroom remodel project or a flooring replacement.
Bill
ACR has a good process for getting and checking the material before construction starts to make sure it goes smoothly. Our bathroom renovation went very smoothly with progress each day after construction started and good communication.
